BIO
BATOUL MOURAD is an Arab-American screenwriter from New York City and a graduate of NYU where she studied history education. She is now a teacher turned TV writer. Batoul has been a fellow in the Moonshot Pilot Accelerator, the WeScreenplay Diverse Voice Lab, and the Yes... And Laughter Lab and was one of six writers chosen for the Sesame Workshop Writers' Room where she developed and worked specifically with kids writing and curriculum. Through these organizations, she's grew her network, honed her craft, and finessed the art of pitching. Batoul is particularly interested in exploring the intersection between history and comedy and loves more than anything finding the funny in the seemingly not so funny.
