JACE SERRANO once met an actor from a hit network show who told him "maybe someday you'll write for me," and he has held out hope for this ever since. Hailing from a hardworking Caribbean immigrant family, he originally planned to be a doctor, but ditched that goal when he realized his true passion was a career in entertainment. A Johns Hopkins University graduate, Jace studied screenwriting at the New School in New York City, where he is currently based. His scripts have placed in every major competition, including the Nicholl Fellowships, Austin Film Festival, Roadmap, ScreenCraft, and PAGE. Specializing in dramas and thrillers, he infuses his stories with social commentary and the edgy humor he has used to get through darker periods in his life.
