JOAN DANS holds a BA and MA from Harvard University in Japanese Language and Literature. She spent ten years working in Japan –– first as a radio host on Tokyo’s #1 FM station, then as a singer-songwriter, selling more than 1.2 million physical copies. Her spoken voice was heard announcing at the Olympics, and as the English voice of car navigation systems around the world... until she was replaced by Google Maps, that is. But she's not bitter. Joan lives in Los Angeles with her husband and teenage son and enjoys telling them what to do instead.
