BIO
MITCH BROWN is a comedy writer who was raised in Austin, TX by two religious accountants who always preached the importance of having a stable job. However, Mitch felt he was destined for comedy, as he loved making his parents laugh by performing SNL style impressions for them such as George W. Bush as a kindergarten teacher, or George W. Bush as an airline pilot, or even George W. Bush as a DJ. During the 2008 economic crisis, both his parents lost their accounting jobs and were unemployed for a long time. Through this experience, Mitch realized you could fail at the “stable” things you don’t want, so you might as well pursue the dreams you do want. So, Mitch took his multiple George W. Bush impressions to LA where honed his comedy writing skills studying with The Groundlings, The Upright Citizens Brigade and Roadmap Writers. His writing has since placed in the Austin Film Festival and was a semi-finalist in the 2022 Filmmatic Comedy Screenplay Awards as well as the 2023 Roadmap Writers Jumpstart Competition.
