BIO
RIKKI STINNETTE writes dramas about people who break the rules to do what's right, often centering on women and disabled characters. A homeschooled military kid with career experience in the library and journalism fields, she's walked both the halls of Congress and the stacks of a haunted library. Her filmmaking career took off after she landed a fellowship developing a pilot under the mentorship of Netflix showrunner David Steinberg. Rikki wrote and directed "Revenge of the Electric Cart," a family short based on her childhood with a parent with rheumatoid arthritis. It has won multiple awards, including a grand jury nomination for best short at the Richmond International Film Festival, and is currently being screened in schools across the country.
Rikki is now promoting a short thriller she produced about film set safety, is developing several TV and feature scripts, and leads a TV writers’ group.
