ROBERT AXELROD is a gay Jewish writer whose work focuses on exploring the intersectionality of identity and culture. Robert is a past recipient of the Humanitas New Voices fellowship, CineStory TV fellowship, and was part of the inaugural class of the Jewish Writer Initiative’s Digital Storyteller Lab. He’s a past winner of the A-List, an annual competition honoring the best work written by assistants in the entertainment industry. Robert was recently named one of the winners of the Echo Theater Company’s inaugural playwriting competition, which was profiled in American Theatre magazine. Previously, he won the ScreenCraft Stage Play Competition, which led to his award-winning play opening the 2021 IAMA Theatre Company’s New Works Festival. Robert has contributed as a writer on projects for Starman Films (in association with Netflix France), Spotify, and the CBS Diversity Showcase.
