Particularly Interested In

While I have a deep, passionate, borderline obsessive love for Cross-Cultural Comedies and Music Oriented Biopics, I maintain an open heart and mind. I'm game for anything that could keep me entertained and delighted on a long, potentially bottom-numbing Cross-Atlantic flight. I mean, if it can make me forget that my legs have gone numb and the guy next to me is snoring like a chainsaw, it's a winner in my book!

More about Medha Jaishankar

Medha Jaishankar is a producer and media consultant with nearly two decades of experience in global entertainment. Her recent projects include the feature films "He Went That Way," starring Jacob Elordi and Zachary Quinto, and "Don’t Feed The Children," featuring Michelle Dockery and Giancarlo Esposito, and directed by Destry Allyn Spielberg. Her unique capacity to foster and lead cross-cultural collaborations that enhance bilateral entertainment trade led to her selection by the US-India Business Council (part of the US Chamber of Commerce) to co-chair their Media & Entertainment Council in 2022.

Medha has consulted for notable companies in India (Reliance, Mahindra & Mahindra, and JetSynthesys) and executives in the US (Jack Giarraputo - Founder of Happy Madison, Phil Quartararo - Former CEO of Virgin Music America). Recently, she led the music technology company Virtual Sonics in a collaboration with Sony to secure an exclusive distribution deal with aerospace company Safran. Through Virtual Sonics, she continues to contribute to audio advancements in entertainment, healthcare, commercial real estate, and defense.

Medha began her career in New York City as a grip/gaffer on several films, then worked as a camerawoman, editor, producer, and reporter for the BBC film review show “Talking Movies”, where she filmed and interviewed filmmakers such as Quentin Tarantino, Spike Lee, and Mike Figgis, and actors such as Shah Rukh Khan, Jared Leto, Ice Cube, and Vin Diesel. She later worked in India as a consultant for Reliance Entertainment and served as a founder and selection committee member of the 2012 Mumbai Mantra-Sundance Institute’s screenwriters lab. During her time in India, she also directed and produced episodes of ABSOLUT’s Blue Frog Diaries for MTV India.

After moving to LA, Medha worked closely with Oscar and BAFTA-winning producers including David Linde and Steve Clark Hall. In 2018, she produced music videos for Ugandan rapper GNL Zamba (along with the late cinematographer Halyna Hutchins) and renowned Bollywood singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, collectively receiving more than 2.5 million YouTube views. In 2020, she executive produced the US set horror short film "Facelift," which premiered at Nightstream, the biggest US genre festival in 2020, as well as ten other major genre film festivals. In 2023, she produced the Indian set horror short “Night of the Bride” that won the “Scariest Short” at the Overlook Film Festival and an audience award at Fantasia Festival. Medha also produced the podcast "EkWomen" with Warner Music India.

A polyglot who has lived in eight countries, Medha is involved with #StartWith8Hollywood as a mentor to female filmmakers, participates as a teacher/mentor at the screenwriting institution Roadmap Writers, and is a member of the advisory board for the LA based Asian World Film Festival. Her ability to bridge creative and corporate worlds across continents seamlessly has been highlighted by industry leaders in both the US and India. Medha also undertakes charitable work in rural India, focusing on women's empowerment. Her efforts reflect a blend of professional leadership in media, entertainment, and technology while actively supporting gender equity and education.

How it Works

Private Month Mentorship

Each month mentorship kicks off with a preliminary 15-min. call to set expectations and lay out strategy for the month. Writer will have email access to the executive plus 4x one-hour consultations with the exec. Exec will read up to 4 scripts in one month (different drafts of the same script or 4 different scripts) and conduct 4x one-hour story notes calls. Calls can also include feedback on your pitch, branding, or career strategy.

If you pay with the deposit/payment plan, your second half will be due the 2nd week of the Mentorship. If you need a different type of payment plan, email dorian@roadmapwriters.com.

**Please note feature screenplays are limited to 120 pages maximum. Please contact terra@roadmapwriters.com for pricing on a Month Mentorship on screenplays exceeding 120 pages.

What To Expect

After registering, you will receive an automatic Order Confirmation email. Then Roadmap's Director of Consultations, Terra Joy, will get your mentor looped in with you!
