Aleisha Brooks

Aleisha wrote, produced and directed plays, her storytelling taking center stage as One-Acts at a local theatre. From short films, music videos, and PSAs to industrial and promotional videos and sketch comedies, she explored the moving image, craving another visual outlet. This love for the arts and artists inspired her latest project, the documentary "L.A., I KINDA LIKE YOU," featuring eight artists navigating the creative landscape and the grind.

Her dedication to supporting fellow artists extends beyond filmmaking, as she coaches writers and offers a free video course to conquer writer's block. Her corresponding book, "Crush Writer's Block Forever," is a testament to this ongoing mission. In the last year alone, Aleisha has helped over 20 writers bring their scripts to life through her meticulous proofreading and editing skills. As a Script Supervisor, Aleisha sits vigilantly behind the video village or camera, meticulously ensuring continuity during filming. Her keen eye for detail has graced projects like "The Ossan," "Acceptable Level of Crazy," "Doctor's Secret Life," "Look Who's Stocking," "BET's Haus of Vicious," "October 31st," and numerous short films.

Aleisha's repertoire as a writer is as diverse as her interests, encompassing drama, comedy, adventure, and romance. Currently, she's adapting her own romance novel, "Reunion." Beyond Script Supervising and producing shorts, music videos, and industrials, she is in development on a script she wrote and will direct in the near future.
