I am really interested in ripped from the headlines true-story drama, stuff that helps us make sense of the wild and complex world we live in today. My preference is hour-long dramas with dynamic pacing or very tight half-hour dark comedies or satires. On the feature side, I have more general interest, but not looking for epics unless they're truly epic. My interest is in the "inside", psychological portrayals of people involved in big moments. Room for comedy too but I'm looking for something vintage and jokey and super small budget on that front. Manuscripts that lean heavily toward serious literary fiction or short stories.
Not interested in office comedies or sitcoms of any stripe, rote sci-fi or even sci-fi that is too "message"-y. I want smart fun stuff.
