Half our comedies are what I write and pitch, typically. So I'm probably best suited to hear those projects as I've been put through development bootcamp by producers and network execs in my own career. I'd love to pass along what I've had to learn the hard way to newer writers.
That being said, I love to read action projects, and thrillers too. When I worked at Universal TV we developed several high profile dramas with well known showrunners for NBC, Showtime, and AMC.
Reality or documentaries. I don't have any career experience there, and probably couldn't be of service to any potential clients.
Brendan Casey began his career as a development executive at Dark Toy Entertainment, a production company with a 4 year, exclusive deal at Universal Television. Since then, he's transitioned into writing and staffed on the comedy HIT THE ROAD starring Jason Alexander. He's also set up multiple pilots with cable and streaming outlets, and developed shows with producers Scott Auckerman and Andy Samberg. His children's humor book, Until You Came Along, was named the funniest book on parenting by BuzzFeed. He is currently adapting the book PEOPLE WHO DESERVE IT with Executive Producer Aseem Batra attached to showrun.
