Leander Edmiston

Leander has enjoyed many aspects of the filmmaking process including creative development, marketing strategy, and film sales and acquisitions. He has worked at some of the largest and most recognized companies in Hollywood.

During his time at ICM Leander provided insights on screenplays and pitches and developed a focus on character motivated storytelling driven through action and structure. Leander contributed to the development of such feature projects as THE NORTHMAN for Focus Features, THE LAST BLACK MAN IN SAN FRANCISCO for A24, and television shows such as THE EXPATS for Amazon Originals.

Following the pandemic, Leander joined Participant in the Content Strategy department where he worked on socially conscious projects beginning in early development onto the marketing phase and through the sales process. In his time at Participant he helped launch nine global marketing and sales campaigns on episodic, feature, and documentary projects that landed at Netflix, HBO, Amazon, A24 and Neon, among others.

His experiences in development, market strategy, and sales, along with his passion for the creative process lays a foundation of support for writers as they develop their project and fully realize their vision.
