I love family dramedies with female leads especially if they have a Latine lens. I love shows like GENTEFIED, ONE DAY AT A TIME, BAD SISTERS, THE OTHER TWO, THE BEAR. Tonally, I love material that toes the line between comedy and drama. I also love coming-of-age that subverts the genre, so a coming-of-age story for the 30-somethings, etc.
If you're writing the next MISSION IMPOSSIBLE, I'm probably not the consultant for you.
Maydé is a first-generation Cuban American woman, born and raised in Miami, FL. She is a Writer/Producer/Director at a constant risk of whiplash as she works in theatre, film, and television to explore stories of women that crash right into large ensemble family dramas and don’t know whether to laugh or cry. She made her way up as an independent theatre producer and a TV/Film Development Executive with a focus on literary adaptations (Duck & Goose, The School for Good and Evil, Get Rolling with Otis). After 10 years of calling NYC home, she finally got her "I'm a real New Yorker" card and immediately moved to Los Angeles with it. She was most recently a Writers' Assistant on WE WERE THE LUCKY ONES for Hulu / 20th TV.
