Veronica McKenzie's career in entertainment begun writing comedy sketches. Shows include The 11 o/c Show with Ricky Gervais, and The A Force BBC2. She has been shortlisted for the 2009 Disney ABC Writing Fellowship Program, and was a quarter finalist for Nicholls Fellowship (2010). Her wide experience takes in TV 'CORONATION STREET', and theatre 'A WOMAN ON FIRE' - her tribute to Nina Simone. Veronica moved to LA to study at UCLA. Through her company Reel Brit Productions set up in 2012, she has co-produced shorts 'THE LAST SUPPER' (2011), and ITSY (2017). Feature documentary 'UNDER YOUR NOSE' screened at the V&A, Tate Modern and universities in the UK and FINDING HOME about LGBTQ Asylum seekers. More recently Veronica produced and directed debut feature 'NINE NIGHTS' which won the 2019 Pan African Film Festival Narrative Feature Award. She co-directed short 'MONICA LOOSE ON A CRUISE' which screened at BFI FLARE 2019. Reel Brit are developing a historical TV series based on a book adaptation, and a couple of features.
