BIO
A Chapman University graduate with a MFA in Screenwriting and an undergraduate degree from Elon University in Media Arts and Entertainment (with an emphasis in Broadcast New Media and Cinema) and a Minor in Creative Writing.
AMANDA KEENER enjoys creating and writing her own stories, particularly young adult and world-building fantasy. She has completed 9 feature screenplays and 8 pilots.
Her first book was published at the age of 17. The sequel, a collection of short stories, and a picture book have also been published. Part of the sales of her picture book is donated to non-kill animal shelters. Through social media, she helps Paws Place Dog Rescue find forever homes for their dogs.
Amanda has won 21 national and international awards and was a 2020 Page International Screenwriting Bronze Award Winner in Family Film and a 2020 finalist in the Scholastic Entertainment Fellowship for Kids and Family Content in the Austin Film Festival. Also, she was a Nick (Nickelodeon) Script First winner.s.
