BIO
Busting through the great corn city of Indianapolis, BRI MORRIS knew early that she wanted to be a comedy writer. Filled with the need to tell stories with absurd and dark humor Bri took weekly trips a la Greyhound to train at The Second City and iO Chicago for writing and improvisation. Bri was a Women in Animation Mentee, a fellow in the Roadmap Writers and UK Independent Film Trust’s Creative Corridor program, and shopped her dramedy pilot, I DON’T WANT TO HATE ME, with Gratitude Productions while building and managing tech projects. From pitching companies such as the BBC, Netflix UK, and ABC Bri’s stories capture the underdog’s need to prevail with underlying themes of escapism and dysfunctional family relationships. She ultimately wants to be a television showrunner, while incorporating technology to reshape immersive storytelling.
