Finalists Announced - 2024 GPS Fellowship

Roadmap is excited to announce the Finalists for the 2024 GPS Fellowship!

We will select four emerging writers from a competitive applicant pool. In addition to being part of a tight-knit peer network, the program is designed to help the fellows develop a career action plan and offer ongoing support. Selected Mentees will receive the following:

6 monthly one-on-one strategy and note sessions with their Executive Mentor.
Peer workshops.
Small-group, industry insider chats with Agents, Managers, Execs, and Fellowship Mentors.
A half-day mock writer's room, exposing Mentees to what's expected in a real room.
Attend the 2024 San Bernardino Writer's Retreat

The culmination of the fellowship includes in-person meetings with RoadCrew, Mentors, and other industry Executives in L.A (travel, meals, and lodging not included.)

GLORY DAYS	Matthew Hoch	A former nerd returns home for a reunion weekend in the hopes of promoting a distinctly different image of himself to his classmates, but things take a turn when he learns someone is planning to kill his former bullies, forcing him to reconnect with his old nerdy friend group to figure out how to save the very people that tormented them in high school.
HALO-HALO	Glen Llanes	When Halo Halo is in jeopardy of shutting down, Rocco Aquino takes it upon himself to throw everything on the line including his own dreams and his relationship to save the family dessert shop.
KINGMAKER	Victor Ridaura	When the mother of an aspiring Latino filmmaker dies, he is thrusted into a dark and violent path that will use an influencer's hunger-for-fame to achieve his own version of the American dream.
MARKHEIM	Kerry-Ann Calleja McGregor	While Jane Markheim, a traumatized forensic expert, searches for a mass murdering cult leader, she struggles to fight the evil that lives in the supposedly cursed town of Old London, only to become a killer herself.
NEGRO-TISM	Aadrise Johnson	When Courtney Jones, the first daughter of Black Hollywood, is outed during her father’s Oscar press week, she and her family must navigate their fame amid scandal to maintain their status among the elite.
RED FLAG FLEET	Kathryn Orwig	Ruthless Pirate Queen, Ching Shih, commands thousands on the South China Sea, but when faced with a new opponent she must make the ultimate sacrifice for her empire to survive.
SLEEPING WITH STRANGERS	Genie Leslie	SLEEPING WITH STRANGERS is a romantic comedy about a newly engaged and inexperienced book editor who panics about her lack of sexual history, and embarks on one year of sexual exploration and unexpected self-discovery before walking down the aisle.
THE BIRDHOUSE MAKER	Dale Janda	In the wake of his identical twin brother's suicide, an acclaimed concert pianist returns to his hometown seeking answers, but must instead grapple with his family in the throes of grief and the dark secrets he unearths.
THE GUNSLINGER BRIDE	Charmaine Colina	Kansas, 1880s. With a bounty on her head, a young Chinese-American gunslinger poses as a mail order bride to hide from the law and hunt down her family's killer.
WALTER VS HIMSELF	Lisa Garvey	When his fed-up mirror reflection becomes sentient and starts dating his girlfriend, a troubled cello prodigy struggles with his sense of self as he attempts to merge back into one person.
