Semifinalist, Roadmap Writers Kids' Television Competition 2024
BIO
JENEE V. GILES-HAMILTON began her TV writing career as a WGA Writer’s Trainee during season six of “Girlfriends.” Her first staff-writing position was on the first 100 episodes of “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne,” and she also did some development work on his second show “Meet the Browns.” Concerned by the lack of representation for her three Black sons, Giles-Hamilton has pivoted to children’s media and currently freelances for Moonbug Entertainment. All three of her animation shorts for “Crayola Crew” are streaming on YouTube, and she has just written two “Mr. Zip” animation shorts, which will debut later this year. She enjoys creating BIPOC long shots, who smash stereotypes and improve their world, while inspiring viewers to do the same.
