BIO 

Based in Brooklyn, JOHN WASHBURN writes stories that draw out the raw, quirky core of characters to reveal authentic seams of relationships and the raw truth of what it is to be human. Broken Field placed with the Austin Film Festival screenplay competition, and his two shorts have been nominated for and won various festivals internationally. He has spent much of his career as a creative director at top ad agencies in NYC. He is currently juggling commercial directing gigs—most recently writing and directing over 30 spots across three countries in Africa for Google—with writing and developing narrative film projects.
