KIMBERLEY GILLIS has directed B-roll footage from a helicopter, worked with an Academy Award winning cinematographer and counts focus groups among the most depressing things she's ever witnessed. (Yes, she currently makes her living in service to the advertising gods.)
But Kim also writes things that aren't ads like features, TV series and shorts. Her scripts have been shortlisted in competition and last year she wrote and produced a short that turned out to be her first official "official selection".
She tends to write strong, grounded, often sharp characters that cause people to say "I know those people", whether they exist in a world familiar or built from the trails of fireworks going off in her head.
