BIO
LEON MASTERS is a queer genre writer who fuses the othering of supernatural creatures and real-world horrors to explore issues facing transgender and other marginalized folks. Raised in the proudly weird, small central coast hippie-town and former Murder Capital of the World, Santa Cruz, California, he developed an off-beat sense of humor when it comes to tackling serious issues and is heavily influenced by his background where cults, ghost-hunts, and séances felt like the norm. Leon earned an MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA. He writes crime thriller, supernatural horror, and science fiction teleplays, features, and podcasts. Leon currently works as a substitute teacher and a screenplay coverage writer. In his off time, he enjoys practicing banjo, and pole-fitness, and still participating in seemingly successful seances and unsuccessful ghost-hunts with his black cat in tow.
DAVID CALBERT is a lover of all things horror. He writes thriller and supernatural horror podcasts, short films, features, and short stories. He is a 2017 Sloan Winner and has been a finalist in a number of writing competitions. David earned an MFA in Screenwriting at UCLA. Since graduation, David has written for CryptTV and recently made the feature film, CONSUMED. David is a proficient singer and guitar player. And when not watching or writing horror films/stories, David spends his time exploring the eerie beauty of his home of Portland, Oregon with his wife and tiny dog.
