BIO
MASHA SAPRON got good at hiding the kielbasa. As a Russian immigrant, she hid it under the kindergarten lunch table in Buffalo, NY (How she longed for PB&J instead of kielbasa). Although Masha looked like everyone else on the outside, her accent betrayed her. The stories that Masha writes, are like matryoshka, Russian nesting dolls: strong female characters on the outside, and inside are — outsiders looking for ways in, at first trying to fit in, and eventually finding acceptance within. After living in NYC and Paris, Masha moved to LA and taught yoga until motherhood led her to write comedy about life’s most terrifying creation. Masha’s work has been featured in Shondaland, the HuffPo and The Today Show. As the creator of www.mothersyoudliketofriend.com she’s made 12 million of her mom friends laugh. Masha has a BS from Boston University and studied screenwriting with Corey Mandell. Her debut picture book, YOGAGIRL will be published in 2025.
