Semifinalist, Josephson Entertainment + Roadmap Writers Short Story Competition
BIO
MEEMEE TAYLOR is an LA-based writer of horror and thrillers with a touch of humor. This city girl started down this dark path when she was nine after moving to a rural farm in Louisiana where she developed a gripping fear of the scary chickens but a love for reading scary Stephen King books. She aspired to write her own stories about twisted but relatable characters. Her very first script reached the top 15 percent in the Nicholl Fellowship. In 2022, she was a fellow in Sony’s transatlantic writers' initiative program (Creative Corridor) and was a Finalist in both the 2023 The Black List/WIF Episodic Lab and the 2022 Paramount (CBS) Writers Mentoring Program. She also received a 2022 grant from the Horror Writers Association. Although she has run marathons around the world (including Tokyo, London, and Berlin), her favorite race will always be the local Run For Your Lives 5k, where “zombies” chased her throughout the course. (To run faster, Meemee pretended they were chickens.)
