15 or 30-min Rick and Morty-type animation projects. All due respect to those, I just don't have the skills to develop these projects.

More about Alex Ott

Alex Ott is a feature film and television producer. Films that he has produced have grossed a combined $1.1 billion at the worldwide box office. He was an Executive Producer on Sony Pictures’ World War II film FURY, starring Brad Pitt, Jon Bernthal, and Logan Lerman, written and directed by David Ayer. Alex also Co-Produced SUICIDE SQUAD for Warner Bros and Atlas Entertainment. The film starred Margot Robbie, Will Smith and Jared Leto. His other producing credits include the hyper-kinetic crime thriller END OF WATCH starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Anna Kendrick; and SABOTAGE starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sam Worthington and Olivia Williams. He also worked in development capacity on the Michael Mann crime epic PUBLIC ENEMIES starring Johnny Depp and Christiane Bale, and FIGHTING starring Channing Tatum.

He was previously EVP of Development, Production & Publishing at Madefire Studios, a venture-backed digital comics studio; as well as VP of Production, Development & Publishing at The Story Factory, headed by screenwriter/producer Shane Salerno (co-writer AVATAR 2-4), where he developed HEAT 2 with Michael Mann and Don Winslow’s THE FORCE. He began his career reading scripts for Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney (MICHAEL CLAYTON, OCEAN'S Trilogy), Kevin Misher (Apple's FINCH, Amazon's COMING 2 AMERICA), and Ed Pressman (THE CROW, WALL STREET).

He is currently developing shows for Madison Square Garden Sphere Studios, a feature with Foxxhole (Jamie Foxx) and Incognegro (Billy Porter), and has set up projects with Paramount, 20th Century Studios, New Regency, HBO, Fifth Season fka Endeavor Content, Wiip, Topic Studios, Tango Entertainment, and XYZ Films.

How it Works

After registering, you will receive instructions on how to submit your material in your order confirmation email. Please be sure to submit a one-pager of loglines and either 2 scripts (50 pages each), 3 scripts (33 pages each), or 4 scripts (25 pages each). After submitting your material, please allow 3-4 weeks to receive proposed times for scheduling your call with the exec.

Be sure to familiarize yourself with Roadmap's Code of Conduct.

Questions? Email terra@roadmapwriters.com

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
