Work one-on-one with an executive at mutually agreed upon times around your schedule. To start, you'll have a 15-minute strategy call with your executive to get the lay of the land for the month. Then, you’ll have email access to your executive throughout, plus four one-hour story notes sessions. Work on a single screenplay or multiple scripts plus get additional notes on your pitch, brand strategy, and career advice - work your mentorship to its fullest potential!
Really think about your main characters. What drives them, what formed them and what do they want. Think about their intentions and how those intentions are affected by the characters surrounding them.

Andrea Shay is an accomplished television producer who spent the last seven years producing for ABC Signature Studios under an overall deal with Ryan Seacrest Productions. At ABC Signature, Shay developed and produced several pilots and series including THE WATCHFUL EYE for Freeform/ Hulu starring Kelly Bishop and Mariel Molino and the Netflix drama, INSATIABLE starring Debby Ryan
and Dallas Roberts. Other projects she has in development include DOWN AND OUT IN BEVERLY HILLS, a co-production with Trevor Noah’s production company, Day Zero Productions, and FIERCE, a script she is co-producing through RSP with John Legend’s company, Get Lifted Productions. Before she joined Seacrest, Andrea spent seven years as the co-head of development for Mark Gordon at The Mark Gordon Company where she sold a number of scripted projects to the
broadcast networks and premium platforms while producing the acclaimed series, BENCHED, starring Eliza Coupe and Jay Harrington for USA.
Prior to joining The Mark Gordon Company, Shay served as the Head of
Development at Regency Television where she developed several pilots and series including THE RETURN OF JEZEBEL JAMES written by Amy Sherman-Palladino, starring Parker Posey, HELP ME, HELP YOU written by Jenni Konner and Ali Rushfield starring Ted Danson, and LISTEN UP written by Jeff Martin starring Jason Alexander.
Earlier in her career, Shay spent three years at Fox Broadcasting Company as the Director of Current Series serving as the key network liaison to shows like THAT 70S SHOW, BERNIE MAC, MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE, THE X-FILES, GIRLS CLUB, and MadTV. Shay grew up in northern New Jersey and graduated from Indiana University before pursuing her career in television in Los Angeles.
Private Month Mentorship
Each month mentorship kicks off with a preliminary 15-min. call to set expectations and lay out strategy for the month. Writer will have email access to the executive plus 4x one-hour consultations with the exec. Exec will read up to 4 scripts in one month (different drafts of the same script or 4 different scripts) and conduct 4x one-hour story notes calls. Calls can also include feedback on your pitch, branding, or career strategy.
If you pay with the deposit/payment plan, your second half will be due the 2nd week of the Mentorship. If you need a different type of payment plan, email dorian@roadmapwriters.com.

What To Expect
