Andy Behling is a multifaceted executive, producer, and creative skilled in building programming strategies, collaborating with creative teams, and navigating the IP landscape. He has worked closely with development, production, and business affairs teams for a variety of scripted content initiatives and has been at the forefront of the emerging synergy between linear and interactive landscapes.
Most recently, Andy served as a Consultant for Studio Capital Management, a prominent video game agency, where he collaborated closely with the CEO and VP to build out a franchise management strategy for their game developer clients to adapt interactive projects into the film and television space.
Along with navigating the interactive space, Andy also acts as an independent producer, with a specialization in scripted sports content. He has a half-hour project currently set up with Omaha Productions (Peyton Manning) and has several other sports-related scripted projects in various stages of development.
Prior to working with SCM and Omaha, Andy served as a Creative Executive at Roku, where he collaborated closely with the Head of Scripted Originals & Creative Affairs to build out a robust slate for the platform’s originals initiative. He acted as the current executive for PROSPER, an award-winning co-production with Stan Australia, as well as developing projects with A-List talent such as Barry Sonnenfeld, Ted Humphries, Dave Hemingson, and James Wan as well as major studios such as Warner Bros. Studios, Tomorrow Studios, and Skydance.
Andy also acted as Manager, Development & Production, at IDW Entertainment. He was a key figure in the development and production of LOCKE & KEY for Netflix and contributed to staffing for SURFSIDE GIRLS on Apple TV+. He adeptly managed the development pipeline, coordinated with publishing and corporate teams, and matched writers with material from IDW’s IP library.
Prior to IDWE, Andy was a Television & Film Crossover Literary Assistant at APA Agency, where he worked closely with clients involved in commercially successful franchises such as JOHN WICK and SONIC THE HEDGEHOG while assisting in building a robust client roster with a Literary Partner. Andy holds a B.F.A. in Writing for Film & Television from DePaul University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Private Month Mentorship
Each month mentorship kicks off with a preliminary 15-min. call to set expectations and lay out strategy for the month. Writer will have email access to the executive plus 4x one-hour consultations with the exec. Exec will read up to 4 scripts in one month (different drafts of the same script or 4 different scripts) and conduct 4x one-hour story notes calls. Calls can also include feedback on your pitch, branding, or career strategy.
