Why does this story need to be told now? What's the hook that will grab the reader/audience and make them want to know more? Also, character, character, character! Who is this character, and more importantly, what do they want?
Particularly interested in hour-long pilots and features. Female-driven and an emphasis on writers from historically marginalized groups. Like big-swing concepts and fascinating worlds.
Not interested in unscripted/nonfiction series and features. Also, trying to stay away from contained dramas, period work, and musicals.
Ann Swenson is the Creative Executive at GOOD FEAR CONTENT, a production and management company based in Los Angeles. Founded by Chris Bender (THE HANGOVER; WE'RE THE MILLERS; THE RING; A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE) and Jake Weiner (JUST FRIENDS) in 2016, the company produces clutter-busting media across theatrical, TV, and emerging digital platforms with a focus on nurturing and establishing new voices aspiring to be generation-defining talent.
Good Fear Content’s recent feature releases include Amazon's MY SPY and MY SPY THE ETERNAL CITY, both directed by Pete Segal; Disney’s MULAN, directed by Niki Caro; and David Robert Mitchell's UNDER THE SILVER LAKE. On the television side, they produced Peacock's Hysteria!, which was released last year with Julie Bowen and Bruce Campbell starring. They are currently preparing for the release of Max's THE PARENTING.
Ann formerly worked at United Talent Agency in their Independent Film Group and is a graduate of NYU Film & TV. From New England, you can find her skiing or camping in her free time.
