Material that is a good fit for streaming or premium cable. Upscale or “elevated” material specifically, but I'm also open to material with a broader, or more commercial sensibility as well. I'm fairly agnostic to genre and format; though in regard to genre projects I tend to gravitate towards more grounded stories as opposed to stories with heightened genre or overt supernatural elements.
Ben is a development executive at Roadside Attractions, a Los Angeles-based production company and film distributor responsible for such critically acclaimed films as MANCHESTER BY THE SEA, EMILY THE CRIMINAL, JUDY and THE PEANUT BUTTER FALCON among others. He was raised in the suburbs of Washington, DC, where growing up nearby the cutthroat political scheming of Capitol Hill taught him early on the power of a good narrative.
After graduating from Syracuse University, he began his career in the Gersh Agency mailroom before transitioning to television development at FX Networks. There, he worked on such critical and commercial hits as SHOGUN, UNDER THE BANNER OF HEAVEN, THE PATIENT, MURDER AT THE END OF THE WORLD, as well as the upcoming comedy SNOWFLAKES. He's a fan of all things genre, from high fantasy to gritty noire, but most of all loves singular characters with unexpected points of view on the world.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
