I prefer not to hear the entire story (aka the ending and every beat along the way) if possible - that often makes me less excited to take a look at the material itself. However, this does sometimes come up conversationally and that is okay. Not a dealbreaker in any case.
One specific mandate for me currently is looking for films that can shoot in the state of Virginia (or, if not specific to Virginia, "Anywhere USA"). Those falling into the 2 Million and under category, even better. However, that is just one column for what I am seeking and I am quite open-minded these days to projects that ideally have a level of commercial potential, and where there are meaningful packaging opportunities on the talent and filmmaker side.
