Work one-on-one with an executive at mutually agreed upon times around your schedule. To start, you'll have a 15-minute strategy call with your executive to get the lay of the land for the month. Then, you’ll have email access to your executive throughout, plus four one-hour story notes sessions. Work on a single screenplay or multiple scripts plus get additional notes on your pitch, brand strategy, and career advice - work your mentorship to its fullest potential!

Scripts with a unique voice that show me an aspect of the world I haven't seen before. I'm looking for writers with something to say, who can write stories that make me feel something.
TV scripts - I'm looking for drama concepts with a strong, clear hook and a story engine with the potential to keep an audience hooked through several hours of drama. When it comes to comedy, I need to laugh out loud and want to be in the company of the characters.
Movie scripts - I love both genre and character driven stories. Kenneth Lonergan is my favourite writer, but if THE MATRIX or TOP GUN (1 or 2) are TV, I will always watch them.
Survival movies where characters undergo relentless suffering.
CARDY O’DONNELL has been a mainstay of the UK TV drama landscape for over twenty-five years. As a scriptwriter he has over 40 broadcast credits for the UK’s leading networks. As a story writer he’s contributed towards thousands of hours of TV drama on shows such as CORONATION STREET and was part of the story team that won the best continuing drama BAFTA in 2014.
Alongside working on established shows, Cardy has developed his own original series and worked with some of the most sucessful indie producers in the country such as SISTER PICTURES, WALL TO WALL, QUAY STREET and ROPE LADDER.
After graduating in 2001 with an MA in Creative Writing, achieving a distinction, he’s worked in every editorial role and has an in-depth knowledge of every aspect of TV production. Over his career he has worked hard to develop his storytelling craft and has a passion for offering guidance and encouragement to newcomers to the industry and helping talent flourish.
Private Month Mentorship
Each month mentorship kicks off with a preliminary 15-min. call to set expectations and lay out strategy for the month. Writer will have email access to the executive plus 4x one-hour consultations with the exec. Exec will read up to 4 scripts in one month (different drafts of the same script or 4 different scripts) and conduct 4x one-hour story notes calls. Calls can also include feedback on your pitch, branding, or career strategy.
If you pay with the deposit/payment plan, your second half will be due the 2nd week of the Mentorship. If you need a different type of payment plan, email dorian@roadmapwriters.com.

What To Expect
