I believe that the first audience member you write for is yourself. If you don't like it, why should anyone else? Essentially, this helps me find what I love about a project so that way, when pitching a project to boss, a friend, an exec, etc, I'm crystal clear about what the core of the project is. People recognize authenticity and they can tell when you've modified a pitch to simply reflect the zeitgeist. That's not to say that you shouldn't make a pitch reflective of the real world (i.e. market changes and trends), but finding what you love in a project represents an inner truth, ergo authenticity.
Secondly, it's a cliche, but character is king. We've agreed that there are seven basic plots but there are an infinite number characters. Once you know your characters, your plot becomes easier to construct and more unique in the process.

Christopher Perpich currently serves as a writer's assistant to Jon Robin Baitz, whom he joined to work on Baitz's Amazon series CHARLOTTE WALSH LIKES TO WIN where he wore the multiple hats of the writers' room assistant, script coordinator, and writers' PA. Since CHARLOTTE got shelved in the fall of 2019, Perpich has continued to work with Baitz in the development of two pilots --one which was just set up with a mini room at FX--and a new feature adaptation of HEDDA GABLER currently in development at MGM. Before his time with Baitz, Perpich worked at CAA as an assistant in their TV Lit Department.
- Immediately after registering, you will receive an Order Confirmation email that serves as the receipt for your registration. In the Order Summary section of this email, you will find a link reading "CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS" that will take you to instructions on how to submit your contact info or written pitch via the Material Submission Form.
- Your material/contact submission is due as soon as you are ready, but no later than midnight PT on the Friday before your session.
- The week before your session, you will receive an email from Zoom with the link to your session.
- You will receive this exec's written feedback on your pitch via email within 7 to 10 business days following the session unless otherwise notified.

Cancellation Policy
You may cancel for a full refund up to 72 hrs. prior to the start of the session. Cancellations requested after this deadline will be ineligible for refunds.
