What is it about your life right now that makes you want to tell this story?
I'm particularly interested in writers who are wrestling with something emotional or spiritual. I'm less interested in a twisty plot, and more interested in deep feeling.
Danny Rocco is a playwright, producer, and professional script consultant/doctor. He worked on the creative team of writers Joshua John Miller and M.A. Fortin for several years (QUEEN OF THE SOUTH/THE EXORCISM), and is now seeking new scripts for development at his production company Brontosaurus Haircut Productions.
His play "What the Sparrow Said" is now a short film, directed by Tim Guinee, executive produced by Anson Mount (@SparrowTheMovie), and is making its way through the festival circuit.
As a playwright, his work has been developed and produced in New York, Los Angeles, Cape Cod, Colorado, Romania, at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, and Oregon Shakespeare Festival. He is a Yaddo resident artist, Edward F. Albee Fellow, Arctic Circle fellow, Forge Fellow, and graduate of New York University’s Gallatin School and Columbia University’s School of the Arts with an MFA in playwriting.
