If you've been keeping an ear on the trades, then you've heard about the efforts to diversify Hollywood for a while now. As a result, we've seen a wave of diverse creators take center stage and films like CRAZY RICH ASIANS, BLACK PANTHER, PARASITE, and THE FAREWELL that have proven there is a desire for more diverse stories, perspectives, and characters on both the big and small screens. The continued push to show diversity both in front of and behind the camera is an ongoing endeavor. But is it enough?
In honor of Black History Month, Roadmap has put together a special webinar event with three brilliant panelists to discuss the state of the industry, diverse voices, and representation!

Daniel Stitt is the Director of Programming and Development at Courtney Kemp's production company, End of Episode. He was previously an executive at BET Networks where he developed and managed several scripted projects including BEING MARY JANE, AMERICAN SOUL, Lena Waithe's TWENTIES and BOOMERANG, THE BOBBY BROWN STORY, TALES, and more. While at BET, Stitt was also part of several initiatives that highlight emerging and underrepresented talent including ViacomCBS's PROJECT CRE8 and VIEWFINDER program, and BET's first ever SCRIPT TO SCREEN initiative for TV writers. In 2019 Stitt was selected among 20 rising executives and producers to the TIMES UP: WHO'S IN THE ROOM program.
Ally Seibert is a television writer who is currently working as a producer on an unnamed Amazon drama. Ally has also worked on THE ROOKIE for ABC, HAWAII FIVE-0 for CBS and CHICAGO FIRE for NBC. She got her start at CAA and worked for writers/producers like Joe Carnahan and Peter Lenkov before making the jump to writing. She has also produced all eight of her episodes, working closely with showrunners and directors from start to finish. Ally is a graduate of Miami University and continues to work closely with their 'Inside Hollywood' program where she mentors students looking to get into the entertainment industry.
A graduate of Temple University, Chikira Bennett is currently a writer’s assistant at Sony Pictures Television (BREAKING BAD; THE GOOD DOCTOR; FOR LIFE). Prior to her current position, Chikira worked at the studio helping manage and streamline business and creative affairs for top-level executives on new development, discovering content for their slates and identifying new initiatives for infrastructural change in studio hiring and retention practices. Chikira began her career in the TV literary department at Creative Artists Agency (AD ASTRA; A MILLION LITTLE PIECES). Following that, she landed at Morgan Freeman’s Revelations Entertainment (INVICTUS; FEAST OF LOVE; ALONG CAME A SPIDER), working with a small development team on revamping the TV slate and helping to develop a limited series about the life and legacy of Muhammad Ali.
