Week #1: Introduction and Script Feedback

Your mentor will read your full script prior to the first session and will give each writer 20-30 min. of notes. Get personalized feedback on your pages and ask your mentor any questions about your script and the industry! 

Week #2: Pitch Roundtable

Your mentor will give feedback on either the 2-3 min or 5-7 min. verbal pitch for one of your projects. 

Week #3: Final Script Review

Your mentor will read another full script prior to the session—it's your choice to get a second round of notes on your script to really make it shine or work on an entirely different script altogether! Following 20-25 min. of feedback for each writer, your mentor will open the floor to group discussion of the revised scripts, then open it up to live Q&A so come with questions!

Week #4: Next Steps Clinic & Pitch Roundtable

Your mentor will review a one-pager of your bio, loglines, any traction, and questions about where you're at and what you should focus on next when it comes to your screenwriting career. Get actionable career advice on what your next steps should be, plus you'll have the opportunity to get final thoughts on your reworked verbal pitch. This is your last chance for live Q&A, so come with questions!

More about Danny Rocco

Danny Rocco is a playwright, producer, and professional script consultant/doctor. He worked on the creative team of writers Joshua John Miller and M.A. Fortin for several years (QUEEN OF THE SOUTH/THE EXORCISM), and is now seeking new scripts for development at his production company Brontosaurus Haircut Productions.

His play "What the Sparrow Said" is now a short film, directed by Tim Guinee, executive produced by Anson Mount (@SparrowTheMovie), and is making its way through the festival circuit.

As a playwright, his work has been developed and produced in New York, Los Angeles, Cape Cod, Colorado, Romania, at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, and Oregon Shakespeare Festival. He is a Yaddo resident artist, Edward F. Albee Fellow, Arctic Circle fellow, Forge Fellow, and graduate of New York University’s Gallatin School and Columbia University’s School of the Arts with an MFA in playwriting.
