G.T. Cruz
Writer/Producer

GT is an Afro-Indigenous-Latine Writer-Producer. Formerly, GT worked full time as an EMT and part time as an Martial Arts instructor all while carrying a full class load at Columbia College Chicago. After graduation, he drove cross country to LA with nothing more than a laptop and a suitcase full of dreams. Opting for jobs that didn’t involve blood and guts, he worked as an Executive Assistant at 20th Century Fox, a showrunner’s Assistant for the TV show Switched at Birth, and as a Field Producer for ABC News 20/20.  GT has been accepted into a handful of programs including the NHMC Writing Fellowship, CBS Writing Mentor Program and the ABC Native TV Workshop.  He has notched several writing assignments under his belt and is currently in development with a 1-hour TV drama at a production company. In all his work he uses his experience of exploring his multiple heritages as fodder to explore character and story mythology. Now the only blood and guts GT works with are those in his scripts.

Testimonials

I wanted feedback from a real exec in the industry to help me know whether my script was ready to send out to talent and producers. In my month mentorship with Cristina, I felt more and more confident in my path toward being a professional writer-director. Cristina was incredible!
