Host:
Megan Lee - Director of Access Programs, Roadmap Writers

Born and raised in sunny South Florida, Megan is a graduate from UCF with her BA in English Creative Writing and a minor in Mass Culture and Collective Behavior. A life spent sneaking books under her covers past bedtime made it clear to Megan that she would one day become a writer herself, but it wasn't until a college screenwriting workshop that she discovered her true love lies in screenwriting. Megan dove head first into this new medium, spending a summer with the RoadCrew as an intern and then as a reader. Being neurodivergent, Megan has developed an ardent fascination with human behavior as she studied the people around her, which is why she now writes character-driven comedies that ask what it means to be human—and how to forgive ourselves for it. Megan is passionate about bringing impactful stories to life and wants to help other writers do the same.

Host:
Terra Joy - Director of Consultations & Script Services, Roadmap Writers

Terra Joy started her career in Washington, DC as a journalist and social justice nonprofit advocate where she also managed a documentary film campaign -- resulting in 115+ screenings in under nine months. She was also very active in the local screenwriting community as a member of WIFV. Before joining the RoadCrew, she was a reader for Slamdance. She has read well over a thousand scripts, and has seen the trends in feedback from execs on over 5K screenplays. Terra is also a professional proofreader and formatting editor, and is a staffwriter on Season 2 of FORNICAKES -- an award winning webseries about two polar opposite best friends who open up an erotic bakery in Florida. She's been to 35+ countries, and when she's not connecting awesome creative people with other awesome creative people, she's writing while drinking way too much boba/iced tea, or crafting her next script's dream soundtrack. As a craft nerd and a Virgo with OCD, she loves to use her detail obsession to benefit story development.
