What to Expect

Get an exec's perspective on the opening pages of your script.

The executive of your choice will spend 10 minutes reading the opening pages of your script.
The exec will provide a feedback report on that read which you will receive within 7 to 10 business days of the scheduled session.

Pitch Tips

Love to understand where the story came from first before getting into the narrative. What is the human connection to this story and why do you want to tell it? Also, help me place it in the market with accurate and current comps and potential homes to target. Then of course, clearly communicate the story, characters, and tone.

Ask any lingering questions you may have about Roadmap Writers, the Career Writer Program, how to make sure you're getting the most bang for your buck, and then spend a luxurious session writing with your fellow writers, perhaps with prompts, perhaps with music, perhaps just with the company of other writers. Hop on and get those pages done!

The first 30 minutes will be Q&A before diving into the full writing hour, so if you want to skip the first part, plan to join the zoom at 5:30pm PT.

James Leighton is currently a Creative Executive at Gurazoo Productions with an overall TV deal at major studio. James has sold multiple projects to major streamers and services and currently in development deals with 3 projects. James' most current big project will be airing on a major streamer in February, having worked on it from development through production and now in the final stages of post.

How it Works

Immediately after registering, you will receive an Order Confirmation email that serves as the receipt for your registration.
In the Order Summary section of this email you will find a link reading "CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS" that will take you to instructions on how to submit your script via the Material Submission Form.
Your material submission is due as soon as you are ready, but no later than 9:00am PT on the day of the session.
During the session, the exec will read as many of your opening pages as they can get through in 10 minutes.
You will receive this exec's written feedback on your pages via email within 10 business days following the session unless otherwise notified.
