Feature comedies, romantic comedies (think Judd Apatow, Lena Dunham, Duplass Brothers), and emotionally poignant dramas. I am also interested in 1/2 hour comedies.
Horror, drug-deals-gone-wrong, straight action, or anything overtly political (key word: overtly).
John Miranda is an award-winning producer and AI Entertainment Strategist with a career spanning film, television, and creative innovation. He began his journey under the mentorship of Steven Spielberg and Norman Jewison, and quickly earned a reputation for championing new voices— developing and selling Ryan Murphy’s first feature screenplay, WHY CAN'T I BE AUDREY HEPBURN, to DreamWorks.
John later oversaw development and production for producer Ken Lipper, managing projects including Alan Rickman’s directorial debut THE WINTER GUEST and James Moll’s Oscar-winning documentary THE LAST DAYS. As VP of Production at James Mangold’s Treeline Films, Miranda helped shape 3:10 TO YUMA, KNIGHT & DAY, and the ABC series MEN IN TREES.
Today, Miranda continues to produce film and television through John Miranda Studio, which also serves as a creative consultancy helping writers, directors, and production companies navigate the entertainment industry’s rapidly evolving relationship with AI. His work bridges craft and technology, guiding creatives as they adapt their workflows, protect their voice, and harness new tools without losing the soul of storytelling.
He is currently developing Ben Bonnema's half-hour comedy CALL ME BY MY NAMETAG, Rebecca Brewer's (Roadmap) one-hour dramatic-thriller COBALT LAKE, and the romantic comedy feature, FOREVER, INC.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
