I'm always interested in Playwrights. At the moment I work mostly toward producing 1/2 hour Multicam and single cam shows, but I'm always on the lookout for a good one-hour drama, or film script.
I mostly say yes before I say no. There's no reason to shut the door on something before you know what it is. Magic is created in the least likely settings.
Katayoun Amini Marciano grew up in Tehran, Iran, migrating to the United States as a teenager. She studied at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, eventually ending up in Los Angeles under the tutelage of Hubert Selby Jr. (LAST EXIT TO BROOKLYN) and Jim Krusoe (ICELAND). Early on, she wrote her first screenplay, NEEDLES,
developed at IFP. Then went on to staff on the CBS morning cartoon MYTHIC WARRIORS, the Fox Family show THE ZACK FILES, and the HBO show MIND OF THE MARRIED MAN with Mike Binder. Her development slate includes TV pilots/series such as SCALP HUNTERS for Maysville Television and Y-SOCIETY for Imprint Entertainment. She has produced the independent feature 3...2...1...FRANKIE GO BOOM, and has written and adapted several films, most notably MAX PAYNE. In the last three years, Kat moved more into her producing/development role, running a comedy pod at NBC/Universal TV. But her primary home is in Jersey City, NJ, where her neurodivergent son, the youngest of her three kids, lives.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
