Most of my experience is in ongoing and limited series for cable and streaming platforms so I am most knowledgeable about developing, selling and producing for these platforms. I have worked across a very wide range of genres and I firmly believe the best work comes from the ideas that writers can't stop thinking about, the ideas that they are most passionate about. I also have a love for a great broadcast show like HOUSE, PARKS AND RECREATION or PARENTHOOD. I've obviously worked in sci-fi and genre at Bad Robot, my personal favorite nerdy space is anything with time travel, but I truly love reading a very wide variety of writers and their work!
Kira Innes is a television executive and producer with experience in drama and comedy, ongoing and limited series and a wide variety of genres.
At Bad Robot Productions as SVP of Television, Innes worked on several greenlit series created by JJ Abrams, as well as a large development slate across streaming and cable platforms. Innes is well versed in working with both original ideas and adaptations from novels, podcasts, manga, true stories and more. She has served as a mentor with the Fox Writers Lab, Sundance Institute Episodic Program and HRTS. She considers it a great honor and responsibility to be entrusted by creators to help tell stories and is passionate about her role in the creative process. Innes' love of storytelling led her to film school at Chapman University, where she earned a BFA of Television and a BA of Public Relations and Advertising.
Very well prepared. This was a Career Consultation, so I had submitted multiple documents and she had clearly reviewed them all, and had helpful thoughts. Her feedback was the very definition of constructive criticism - very clear notes that got at the heart of the script/show, presented in a way that felt collaborative and collegial, rather than dictatorial. Plus she is just easy to talk to. Highly, highly recommend her.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
