I really love commercial true stories that are powerful and have something to say. I really want to find some genre projects that are character driven and are socially conscious or outside of the box. I enjoy a lot of genres, as long as there is an audience for them and they have strong relatable characters at their core!

Westerns, period pieces unless the "why now?" makes sense, huge fantasy/sci-fi stories unless based on some sort of IP/comic book, etc.

More about Kristy Grisham

Kristy Grisham is a seasoned Film & TV producer with over 16 years of experience in all aspects of content creation from development through release. She has collaborated with best-in-class filmmakers and creative talent like Rian Johnson, Steven Soderbergh, and The Russo Brothers to name a few. Recently, she served as the Senior Vice President of Development and Production at The Hideaway Entertainment, a production and financing company. Grisham joined The Hideaway Entertainment in April 2018 where she championed Joe and Anthony Russo’s CHERRY, starring Tom Holland and Ciara Bravo, which The Hideaway independently co-financed with AGBO. She served as Executive Producer on the film, which sold to Apple TV+ for just under $50M, and was released via the streaming giant in March 2021.

Grisham is responsible for championing the adaptation of Dan Schilling’s nonfiction book, ALONE AT DAWN (formerly titled COMBAT CONTROL), with Thruline Entertainment Partner Ron West (THE GREAT) and screenwriter Michael Russell Gunn (BILLIONS). Grisham was integral in bringing the book proposal to the company, developing the screenplay, and packaging the movie, which in 2021 attached Jake Gyllenhaal and Sam Hargrave (EXTRACTION Franchise) directing and set up with MGM. Grisham is also producing OTHERWISE ILLEGAL ACTIVITY from THE WOLF OF WALL STREET scribe Terence Winter, the Victorian-era action- adventure pic ESCAPE, with James Watkins (THE IPCRESS FILE) directing from a script by Patrick McKay and John D. Payne (THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RINGS OF POWER), Deon Taylor’s action drama FREEDOM RIDE, based on the incredible true story of John Lewis and the Freedom Riders, and CAN YOU HEAR ME? written by Taylor Anthony Hopkins and Luke Kelly-Clyne, alongside Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat Productions with Dean Israelite (POWER RANGERS) directing. Additionally, Grisham oversaw and is executive producing the company’s upcoming limited series FOR THOSE I LOVED, based on Martin Gray and Max Gallo’s book, which Robert Schenkkan (HACKSAW RIDGE) is adapting as well as the upcoming limited series, THE SIEGE OF MECCA, with Bruce McKenna (THE PACIFIC) adapting.

Prior to joining The Hideaway Entertainment in 2018, Grisham rose through the ranks at Endgame Entertainment over the course of almost a decade, developing and producing several commercial and critically acclaimed films. Grisham served in various roles on many films including MURDER MYSTERY, THE OLD MAN AND THE GUN, LOOPER, THE DISCOVERY, COME SUNDAY (Co-Producer), SIDE EFFECTS, FREEHELD (Co-Producer), and the Oscar short-listed documentary EVERY LITTLE STEP amongst many other projects during her time there. Prior to her time at Endgame, she served as an Executive Assistant at Nicolas Cage’s Saturn Films and in production on a handful of films and TV shows, including the series, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS in her home state of Texas. Grisham holds a Bachelor of Science in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas at Austin, Texas. She currently lives in Los Angeles, California.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
