I’m interested in working with writers of any background who are passionate about building expansive, immersive worlds. I’m particularly drawn to genre writers exploring horror and the supernatural, sci-fi, fantasy, or even historical fiction.
Writers who are eager to learn how to navigate the industry, refine their ideas, map out the larger arc of the show, and practice pitching a series.
I'm open to everything at the moment.
Malarie Howard is an American writer, artist, and musician from the US. Her writing career launched in 2018 when she was hired to develop a sci-fi series for Pearl Street Films. Shortly after, she sold her first pilot to MRC and joined the writing staff for two seasons of CW’s IN THE DARK.
During the pandemic, Malarie contributed to Broadway Video and Audible’s comedy podcast EXCESSIVE, featuring Chloe Fineman, Joshua Jackson, and Kim Cattrall. Her recent credits include additional material for THOR: LOVE & THUNDER and writing as a co-producer on Marvel’s IRONHEART for Disney+. Malarie’s original adventure-western feature, THE CURSED DAUGHTERS OF DEAD AMBITIOUS MEN, is in development with Mortal Media, and she is preparing to make her directorial debut with her original short film, YOUR CIVIC DUTY TO PARTICIPATE.
Beyond her creative work, Malarie is a member of Santa Clara University’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Advisory Board. She mentors aspiring filmmakers, speaks on industry panels designed to inspire an entrepreneurial mindset across disciplines. Additionally, she leads an original world building workshop for college students and adults, helping participants develop imaginative story worlds that are marketable as a franchise while honoring the artistic vision.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
