Starting off with a logline and a few comps readily accessible will help me better envision the world you're trying to build. When you're envisioning potential cast, it's okay to think big and target A-List talent, because the listener will be more familiar with their work and imagine the largest, most exciting world possible for the project.
Of course, the mechanics of your story are important, but character is king. I'd love to learn about who is walking us through your world, first and foremost. And making me laugh can't hurt either!
I'm interested in female-led single-cam half-hour to hour-long dramedies. Think INSECURE, BROAD CITY, or HACKS.
Storylines that toy with psychology and history are also incredibly intriguing to me.
Margot Nissenblatt works in the Literary Management department at Anonymous Content. In this role, she is exposed to dozens of scripts per week by writers of all levels, on which she provides summary and notes to her colleagues. She has a great interest in comedy and dramedy, and stories that highlight how mental health affects a character. As an undergraduate at Binghamton University, she studied psychology, cinema, and Spanish and aspires to gain a masters degree in screenwriting.
