Work on a single screenplay or multiple scripts plus get additional notes on your pitch, brand strategy, and career advice - work your mentorship to its fullest potential!
The more visuals and less text on the screen the better. Allow your audience to engage in the visual while you talk through what they need to know. Mood boards are really important for someone to visualize and see what your project can look like. Character is the most important thing. What is their driving force? Why do we care? What are they hoping to accomplish? Make sure they're multifaceted and not one dimensional. Why this movie? Why now? Why are you the best person suited to tell it?
Finding feature scripts that are in the elevated genre space. Specifically sci-fi, thriller, horror, action and adventure. Also always trying to find a period piece war project (WWI or WWII).
Some examples of films in these spaces are: BLINK TWICE, A QUIET PLACE, BARBARIAN, LONGLEGS, SPEAK NO EVIL, 1917, INDIANA JONES, SICARIO, THE EQUALIZER, ARRIVAL, and ALIEN: ROMULUS.
On the drama side, I'm more inclined toward projects like PAST LIVES, CONCLAVE, and ANATOMY OF A FALL.
