No matter how detailed or macro, all outlines must contain the standard structural integrity and character arcs for your particular format and genre. Submit your outline (10 page max) and the executive will conduct a 30-minute notes call to give you and your story ground-level guidance. You'll discuss how to refine set up of the structure, pacing, theme, and character development for your script.

I thoroughly believe that fully developed lead characters are the foundation of a good series. If I'm going to keep coming back for each episode, I need to relate to and be able to empathize with the characters I'm following. Also, when pitching, it's really important to know where the series goes and be able to clearly answer questions about the arcs and emotional journeys in the story, as for anyone to want to buy it, they have to know that it has legs.
Right now, I'm particularly interested in finding genre projects (sci-fi, comedy, thriller, horror etc.) that shine a light on issues that we're currently experiencing in the real world without being heavy-handed or overly-earnest. Looking to make TV shows that are first and foremost fun and entertaining, but can also serve as a jumping off point for inciting real world change, They don't need to be about the issue, just feature it in a way that could be expanded on through a B or C storyline in series.
I am not interested in anything that is straight drama or strictly period.

Following her graduation, Maya’s drive and dedication quickly landed her a position at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), serving as an assistant to the President. Her journey through the industry then took her to Freeform, where she delved into production, and to Reléve Entertainment, where she honed her skills as a development assistant in both scripted and unscripted programming.
Most recently, Maya made her mark as a Manager in TV Development at MRC. In this role, she played a pivotal part in bringing compelling narratives to life, overseeing projects like THE GREAT Season 3 on Hulu and TIME BANDITS at Apple TV+, while also managing an expansive development slate. Maya’s commitment to bringing stories to life that reflect the real world and the issues that affect real people is only matched by her desire to champion marginalized voices while advocating for reform in housing and mental health resources, demonstrating her holistic approach to making a meaningful impact both on and off the screen.
In her free time, she can usually be found on the volleyball court or nerding out on a jigsaw puzzle.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
