This session format is available only to writers in our Top Tier Program.
This session includes 2 x 30 minute Zoom meetings.
In the first meeting, the exec will review the feature script OR pilot and bible (if provided) and meet with the writer via Zoom for 30 minutes to provide rewrite notes.
The writer will rewrite their script with the markup switch on and send it back to the exec to read and then meet with the exec via Zoom for a second 30 minutes to receive further feedback on their script.
The premise should be an immediately compelling hook and a concept that feels fresh for the genre and landscape. Character is of course equally important, and the characters must feel three dimensional and nuanced. Lastly, your personal connection to a project should always be in the intro of a pitch!
I am particularly interested in voice-driven character portraits, either half-hour or hour-long female and BIPOC-driven premium dark comedies like ATLANTA, RAMY, I MAY DESTROY YOU, FLEABAG. I am also particularly interested in budget-friendly high concept grounded sci-fi shows and features such as SEVERANCE. On the feature side, I'm additionally interested in high concept coming of age stories and commercial magical realism.
Not as interested in high octane fantasy and period pieces.
