We've come to that time of year again: crisp fall air, pumpkins, and stories meant to keep you up at night. We all have our favorite scary movies and shows, and we've all probably told our fair share of campfire stories. But times have changed, and creating a horror project for the modern market place is no small feat. How do you stand out? Who are the players in this space? And what makes a good horror to begin with?
We hear you, and that's why we've invited Lindsay Schwartz to share her knowledge and expertise!
This 60-Minute Webinar Will Cover:
- The players in horror
- Demographics and marketing
- How the genre has changed
- Writing horror today
- Q&A!
Lindsay Schwartz is an Independent Producer (formerly the Director of Development at FullyFormed Entertainment). FullyFormed is the new venture from Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, who co-founded Platinum Dunes with Michael Bay in 2001. While at Platinum Dunes, they produced both film and television. Notable series include BLACK SAILS on Starz, THE LAST SHIP on TNT, and currently, JACK RYAN, Amazon’s most-watched show. On the feature side, they are responsible for some of the biggest genre films of the last decade, including THE PURGE franchise, the OUIJA movies, and the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES movies. Lindsay began working for Fuller and Form in November of 2016 under the Platinum Dunes banner. During that time, they produced and released A QUIET PLACE, one of the most commercially successful original-concept genre movies in years. In August of 2019, Lindsay joined Form and Fuller when they left Platinum Dunes to create FullyFormed Entertainment and signed a three-year deal with Paramount Pictures and are developing numerous features and series with studios such as Paramount, Sony, MGM, Universal, Miramax, and Amazon, amongst others. Before FullyFormed and Platinum Dunes, Lindsay worked at Paramount Pictures and Happy Madison Productions.
