Stories driven by women and people of color, stories fronted by characters with disabilities, explorations of neurodivergence. I'd particularly love to see this in the comedy, romance/romantic comedy, and sci-fi genres!
War, historical, crime/true crime
Octavia Bray is a television writer and podcast addict currently developing an animated show for Nickelodeon with WVE. She received her BA in Communications and East Asian Languages and Civilizations from the University of Pennsylvania, then veered to receive her MFA in Writing and Producing for Television from Loyola Marymount University.
Octavia was previously staffed on Disney Channel's RAVEN'S HOME and previously sold a pitch to Disney Channel. A child of divorce twice over, Octavia has one mom, two dads, and seven siblings of varying degrees of blood relation. This means she also has a savior complex and a love for organization (lots of family to keep track of), which she uses for good rather than evil (as an occasional part-time lecturer at Loyola Marymount University). Octavia has also written for podcasts like Hallmark's CRIMSON HEARTS COLLIDE, ABF x Wondery's ADVENTURES OF CAIRO, Atypical Artists' THE AM ARCHIVES, Rusty Quill's CRY HAVOC, ASK QUESTIONS LATER, and her own sci-fi(ish) rom-com LIFE WITH LEO(h).

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
