On graduating from film school after winning a national student award for his work, Tony spent some years in the corporate market, including working on music videos, and in the education sector where he wrote scripts for various youth agencies, including CONNEXIONS and SMASH, dealing with alcohol and drug abuse.
In 2007 he worked alongside Lenny Henry, the Anthony Walker Foundation and Liverpool Football Club, where he wrote the anti-racism piece COLOUR BLIND, which has gone on to be shown in secondary schools all around the country.
Tony sold his first screenplay, TRACES, during this time and was quickly picked up by an agent. He has spent the last 30 years working in broadcast televIsion, and has written for some of the biggest shows on UK TV, including THE BILL, CASUALTY, LONDON'S BURNING (where he was showrunner and lead writer for one season), HOLBY CITY and the soaps.
Alongside this he has worked with many broadcast and production companies, including SONY PICTURES, LONDON WEEKEND TELEVISION, YORKSHIRE TV, SCOTTISH MEDIA GROUP, ENDEMOL and the BBC, developing new original projects, many of which were written and devised by himself.
Tony worked alongside legendary British film producer Nik Powell for a year on A PRESIDENT ABROAD, one of his own screenplays, prior to the latter's premature death.
Tony has also spent the last 25 years teaching screen writing at many schools and colleges throughout the north west, including on the degree courses at Salford University and both the London and Liverpool Media Academies.
He also worked for three years co-presenting ARTS ALIVE, for Cable TV, reviewing films for the cinema and interviewing local filmmakers.
He is currently in development with several projection companies, both for cinema and television, including BUFFALO DRAGON and MINERA PRODUCTIONS, on many of his own original ideas. He is also working on an adaptation of Ted Whitehead's controversial stage play THE FOURSOME for the big screen, for a producer-director team.
Alongside this, Tony continues to teach part time and has just completed terms with both MERSEYSIDE ACADEMY OF DRAMA and RARE STUDIO in Liverpool. He loves working with new writers and enjoys engaging in the creative process in and out of the classroom. He has a passion for great storytelling, whether on the big or small screen.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration for a refund or Roadmap gift card if you have not yet submitted your material for review. However, once your material has been received by Roadmap, your registration cannot be canceled. Having revised material or a desire to retroactively apply a discount or gift card code are not grounds for cancellation, refunds, or gift card credit. Once your material has been submitted, the only acceptable grounds for cancellation and a refund or gift card credit is an unforeseen, ongoing emergency on the part of either the writer or the exec resulting in more than 6 weeks without any scheduling update from the exec via direct contact or Roadmap, or a sudden change in the exec's ongoing availability. In the instance of an irreconcilable scheduling issue, the writer may still receive a written feedback report from the exec. In this case, the writer is not entitled to a refund or gift card credit as the exec has read the submitted material and provided written feedback in lieu of the call.
