Is there anything that moves faster than social media? Social media is constantly changing and evolving, and if you're not already well versed in all the different platforms and how they work, taking that plunge seems daunting. Where do you start? What accounts do you need to have? And what can you, as a writer, do to build a following and engage with the community.
In order to answer all these questions and give you the tools to take control of your online presence, Roadmap welcomes Lisa Hickey to the webinar stage!
This 90 Minute Webinar Will Cover:
- What social media platforms work best for writers?
- Social media etiquette
- How to gain followers
- Live Q&A
Lisa Hickey is a television writer and screenwriter. She writes about issues of social justice that are woven into action-adventure stories featuring young female protagonists.
Growing up, Lisa often felt like an outsider among her peers because she would rather talk about political issues than play with her Barbie dolls.
Lisa is also CEO and Publisher of The Good Men Project, online magazine that talks about the changing roles of men in the 21st century. The website gets 2 million visitors per month, and has deep and provocative discussions about the big issues of social justice today—sexism, racism, lgbtqia, disability rights, climate change and more. Lisa draws from these experiences and infuses the issues into her screenwriting.
Lisa is also the occasional public speaker, stand-up comedian and slam poet.
