dena harry saleh (they/them/theirs) is a sensitivity reader, nonbinary writer, anti-oppression educator, and college instructor. As a sensitivity reader, they read for their own identities (queer, nonbinary, Muslim, Palestinian, neurodivergent), and also with regard to general American and Western oppression. They facilitate courageous conversations around the nature of injustice to create a more liberated world, and also play with these themes in their writing. Dena also taught Social Justice Studies to elementary/middle school students for eleven years. Dena studied Nonfiction and Fiction writing at New School University at Eugene Lang College, and has a Master's degree in Human Development and Learning from University of Colorado at Denver. Dena enjoys writing, reading, playing music, and spending time with their partner, two beautiful children, and friends, especially if food is involved!
